Denise Lanzieri

From October 2020 to September 2023, I served as a Ph.D. student in astrophysics at the CosmoStat Laboratory of CEA Paris-Saclay. As a doctoral researcher, my work centered on the convergence of Deep Learning, Statistical Modeling, and Observational Cosmology. My specific area of interest lay in the application of physical modeling alongside Machine Learning techniques, including automatic differentiation, deep generative models, and score-based high-dimensional inference. Motivated by a desire to explore new horizons beyond the cosmos, I have recently transitioned into the realm of augmented creativity, proudly becoming a member of the Augmented Creativity Team. This shift reflects my eagerness to delve into new and exciting areas of research, establishing a fascinating link between the exploration of the universe and the exploration of innovative ideas. As I embark on this transformative journey, I am enthusiastic about leveraging AI’s potential to understand the complexity of open-ended systems, generating novel and compelling ideas that push the boundaries of creative thinking.
